Standard MDF struggles in humid environments. MDF Moisture Resistant (MR) was engineered to perform where standard panels fall short.
What Is MR MDF?
MR MDF is manufactured with moisture-resistant resins and additives, offering greater dimensional stability, reduced swelling, and improved durability when exposed to occasional humidity.
Where to Use It
- Kitchen cabinetry and bathroom vanities
- Laundry rooms and closets
- Commercial millwork
- Interior architectural projects
MR10 vs. MR50
The difference comes down to performance level. MR50 panels pass additional accelerated aging and durability testing, making them more resistant to long-term moisture exposure. MR10 is built for occasional humidity rather than continuous exposure.
Our Brands
We offer Roseburg Medex® MR in MR10 and MR50 grades, plus Guararapes HUC® MR50 panels. Medex® is also manufactured with No Added Formaldehyde (NAF) technology, supporting healthier indoor environments and green building initiatives, including LEED-focused projects.
Why Specify It
